John Palter, Dallas SVP

John Palter is a trial attorney and certified public accountant, whose areas of expertise include complex commercial and intellectual property litigation and risk management. He has sought actively to expand his skill set in the nonprofit arena in the areas of strategic planning, board governance and development.  He is a past board chair of Dallas Social Venture Partners (DSVP.) In its 2010 strategic plan, DSVP identified community outreach as an area of emphasis. John is a passionate advocate for this, and for using existing structures and networks to facilitate and leverage DSVP’s work with other nonprofits. In addition to his service as past board chair of DSVP, John served as co-chair of bigBANG! – DSVP’s signature event which convenes a community of investors, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders and others who want to catalyze positive impact.
