Dan Rigby, SVP Arizona
Before his retirement, Dan spent over 36 years in the life insurance
industry, more than half of which was specializing in Executive Benefit
programs. He sold his consulting company, ECA Companies, to National
Financial Partners (NFP) in November 2000 and completed his consulting
contact with NFP on December 31, 2005. While with NFP he served as
Managing Director of Charon Planning, an NFP subsidiary.
From 1974 through 2005 Dan was associated with General American Life Insurance Company, acting as General Agent for the company in Arizona. During that time he served nine years on the General Agents Advisory Council, and as Chairman in 1992. He is a member of the GenAm Financial Hall of Fame. He has also chaired the Southern Arizona Chapter of CLU and the Southern Arizona Estate Planning Council.
Since 1984 he has been a member for the Association for Advanced Underwriting (AALU) serving on its Board of Directors from 2002 through 2005. He is the current Chairman of AALU's Best Practice's Committee. Dan has been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table for over 25 years, including Top of The Table.
Active in philanthropic endeavors, he is a member of the Executive Committee of Social Venture Partners of Arizona, a venture philanthropy partnership assisting promising non-profit organizations through a venture capital model. He also serves on the Social Venture Partners International Board of Directors. His interests include acoustic blues guitar, ancient philosophy and fly-fishing for western trout.
Dan and his wife Ann reside in Paradise Valley, Arizona until the weather forces them to their home in the mountains of Colorado. They have two grown daughters, Elizabeth and Bridget who are continuing sources of pride and inspiration.
