Bob Wright, Dallas SVP
Mr. Wright currently serves as Executive Vice President of Skywire Software. Mr. Wright began his legal career at Jenkens & Gilchrist, P.C., the largest law firm in the Southwest, where he practiced law for eleven years and specialized in leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, and securities and regulatory law. In 1992, he left J&G to form his own legal and consulting practice. Over the years, he has founded, built, run and sold several software and Internet businesses, including two computer game companies, a hybrid software/Internet company, and an early Internet database development company.
In 2000, in association with The Dallas Foundation, Mr. Wright founded Dallas Social Venture Partners, an initiative that seeks to apply venture capital principles to philanthropy. Dallas Social Venture Partners is a group of successful, committed, community-focused individuals who seek to invest money and time in carefully selected local nonprofit organizations to increase their effectiveness. In four years, DSVP has caused over $1,500,000 and 6,000 hours to be invested in Dallas-based nonprofits.
