Bob Wood, Dallas SVP

Bob has retired after a 40 year career as a banking and commercial lawyer and legal educator.  He is a much-in-demand commercial arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and serves as a national trainer of commercial arbitrators for AAA.  His current philanthropic interests are facilitating collaboration in the citizen sector and spreading the word about SVPI. As a founding member of Dallas Social Venture Partners he served on the board from 2000 to 2006, serving as Chairman in 2004. He has also held various committee assignments, including chairing the Strategic Planning and Investment Committees. He joined the Board of SVPI in 2005 and is currently Chair of the Affiliate Leadership Committee.

In addition to supporting the investees of Dallas Social Venture Partners, Bob and his wife Ann have, for many years nurtured and supported various programs involving Early Childhood Intervention and Infant Mental Health.

Bob says that his children "fell far from the lawyer-tree."  Beth is a performing singer-songwriter and Michael is Assistant General Manager of a minor league baseball team owned by Nolan Ryan.
